Life is filled with choices. Certain decisions are easy and we don't even realize the choices we're making, whereas others may be overwhelming. Here are some suggestions to help you make one of these big decisions from a heart-centered perspective.

Be aware that you have a choice

If you're feeling helpless or victimized, you may not realize that you're making an unconscious decision. First, make your unconscious choice conscious. It is possible to prefer security over happiness if you are unhappy at work. Accept that it is a choice, and remember that you are able to alter it.

Make sure you are clear about your decision

If you've made a choice to make that doesn't feel good, be sure to ask yourself why. If you are curious, you're questioning your decision. Be open to new possibilities. Don't judge yourself. Take note of your thoughts. Take note of what hurts and what makes you feel good. Don't attach to even having an answer. Simply be curious.

Be aware of when fear takes the lead

The Small Self desires to be in control of every aspect of life. It wants to be in be in control, weigh in, think and think however, it is most important to avoid loss and uncertainty at any cost. The small self is fearful.

You won't be able to discern the fact that your Small Self decision making fear if you don't. This could cause you to keep choosing the things that your Small Self considers safe and secure, even at the cost of your happiness, health and financial future.

Give up your choice

If you decide to let your soul make the decisions for you by toss a coin then you'll probably need to carry your small Self along, kicking and screaming. It doesn't believe that we live in a place in which the soul is able to make its own decisions based on the heart of its soul.

It is beneficial to learn the art of surrendering to God. Let go of control over your choices to the divine. Your soul will give you guidance. Open yourself to receiving your inner and external guidance.

Ask for help

Once you've surrendered your decision to something larger than yourself You can seek help from the spirit realm or from an experienced therapist or a your friend. The guide will hold your mirror for you and gently guide you toward the decision that is already within you.

Watch out for warnings and be present

Spiritual guidance is all around us, but we tend to ignore it due to not paying enough. Once you've surrendered a decision and asked for help keep an eye out for signs.

For example I was recently trying to decide if my "soul twin" Dennis and I should take on a writing class in Peru. I didn't want to leave my daughter behind. There were other obligations. We had already paid to reserve a room and had only 24 hours to repay the cash.

Trust your instincts

There are many ways intuition can strike us. Some people are discernible. Others have visions (clairvoyance). Sometimes , people detect a whisper in their ear (clairaudience). When you understand how your intuition can be seen for you, and once you've begun collecting evidence that things go smoothly when you trust your instincts, you'll notice it more easily and trust it more.

Pay attention to the messages your body is sending you.

When you're trying to decide, begin noting the way your body feels as you consider Option A. What would it be like when you select Option B? It is possible to feel anxious when you make a decision. Are they butterflies of joy?

Your body is an compass that guides you toward that which is aligned with your soul and assists you in avoiding what isn't in alignment. Be aware of where your body is guiding you.

Seek answers in dreams

Your subconscious will usually make the right choice, regardless of whether your conscious brain may feel confused. Try interpreting your dreams using an e-book of dreams to begin to understand what your subconscious mind is trying to tell you.
